Training Hard

As I start my first blog post, I would like to thank readers for taking the time to read what I have to say and what I am working on in my life. At the moment, I am addicted to Martial arts, mainly Muay Thai and Brazilian Ju Jitsu. I love learning about the movement and techniques of the traditional arts. If I'm not training at the gym, I'm playing UFC on the xbox or running.

First off I fight out of Siam Camp in a small town called Oldham, I am enjoying every bit of training working under Grand Master Kevin and Andrew Lofthouse (W.M.F World Champion) I feel like his little project at the moment.

So enough of that, today's training session went well, I pulled out a little more than I should but who likes elbows in the thighs? Starting the session off we did our usual 15-20 minutes skipping with press ups or sit ups every 25 skips. As we moved more into the warm up, we had a few abdominal exercises including:

  • Leg raises
  • Knees to shins
  • Raising legs 6 inches from the floor for a set time (In this case 30 seconds)
In-between these warm ups we have Grand Master Kevin walking around the area, standing on our stomachs, hitting us with Thai pads or giving us a kick a in the calf! The pain doesn't seem worth it at the time but when you get in the ring and you don't feel a thing, it couldn't feel better, which rounds up the title of my blog: No Sacrifice, No Victory.

Thanks for reading and please come back soon when I have updated!

Kyle.
